HEATHER'SHOPE

Clinton County

Health Department

Diabetes care requires continuous monitoring and medication. Along with the continuous care comes continuous cost. Some people do not have the means to buy the necessary prescribed medications, which is where Heather’s Hope comes in.

The proceeds of our fundraisers benefit the Clinton County Health Department (CCHD). The CCHD then uses our funds to assist with diabetes medication and supply costs for individuals who are un/underinsured or those who are awaiting approval for other types of programs.

Camp Korelitz

The American Diabetes Association's Camp Korelitz is a week-long residential camping program for children living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes, ages 8-15, and is held at Camp Joy in Clarksville.

This regional camp program is an exciting opportunity for children from four states to meet other children living with diabetes while engaging in traditional camp activities.

Our current goal is to send 3 kids per summer to this camp at a significantly reduced rate or free of charge. We also try to send kids who are from Clinton County, if at all possible.
